How do you verify information about a new RC before taking it seriously? - abertbrown - 10.09.2026

With new Research Chemicals appearing all the time, finding information about a substance can be surprisingly difficult.
One source says one thing, another source says something completely different, and sometimes the available information is based mainly on anecdotes rather than reliable documentation.
So how do you personally evaluate information about an unfamiliar RC?
Do you usually look at:
  • chemical structure and related compounds
  • available research or analytical data
  • reports from experienced users
  • laboratory testing information
  • pharmacological information
  • multiple independent sources
  • or something else?
I'm especially interested in how people distinguish useful information from speculation, exaggerated claims, or repeated forum rumors .
What are the biggest red flags that make you distrust information about a particular substance?
Curious to hear how others approach this.

Information about all the reagents you can buy from vendors on this forum is clearly and concisely described. Look up the substance you're interested in and read the reviews for that product before placing an order. Cheers
